Saturday’s Bay Area high school football: Tyson Bonilla runs for a TD, passes for one to lead Wilcox. Cahlil Snead catches winner for Berkeley.
No. 10 Wilcox defeated No. 24 Sacred Heart Prep 28-21.
Tyson Bonilla scored on a 38-yard run late in the fourth quarter to break a tie and lead visiting Wilcox to a Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division victory over Sacred Heart Prep on Saturday.
The result sets up a league championship game between Wilcox and Los Gatos on Friday night.
They are the only teams in the Bay to have never lost a league game.
Wilcox had to come from behind to defeat Sacred Heart Prep, which led 7-0 in the first quarter, 14-7 in the second, and 21-14 in the third.
With four minutes remaining in the third period, Bonilla’s 8-yard pass to Maulidi Saleh tied the game at 21-21.
Wilcox’s other touchdowns came from Jamontay Amataga’s 14-yard run and Saleh’s 3-yard run.
Saleh also had a pass intercepted, and Romeo Castillo was dominant on Wilcox’s defensive line.
SHP scored on a 6-yard run by Jack Stevens and 21- and 29-yard passes to Charlie Stuart by Jack Scully.
Wilcox’s record now stands at 6-2, 4-0.

Bethel 0 – 34 Salesian
With four touchdowns in the second half, Salesian broke open a 7-0 defensive struggle.
The Pride won its seventh game in a row thanks to touchdown receptions from Carlton Perrilliat and Marco Turqueza.
Salesian is 3-0 in the TCAL Rock, but it still has to play El Cerrito on Nov. 4 in a game that will most likely decide the division championship.
Even if Salesian loses, it should be seeded in the top four of the Division VI North Coast Section playoffs.
