Yesenia Moffett scores six goals to lead Pittsburg to a 12-3 victory over rival Antioch in girls water polo

Yesenia Moffett of Pittsburg Water Polo is the Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week for Oct. 16-21, after receiving 39.87% of the vote by the deadline Wednesday.

Gracie Imrisek of Archbishop Mitty finished second in the water polo competition.

Congratulations to all of the nominees for this week’s honor.

Moffett scored six goals, five in the first half, to go with six steals and three assists as Pittsburg defeated rival Antioch 12-3. This week, the junior had 49 goals on the season.
