High school football rankings Week 12, 2023: Bay Area News Group Top 25

Sacred Heart Prep, Capuchino end the regular season in the Top 25. Serra, De La Salle, SRV, Pittsburg lead the way.

The top five high school football teams in the Bay Area News Group heading into the playoffs are Serra, De La Salle, San Ramon Valley, Pittsburg, and El Cerrito.

Will they remain in those positions when the 2023 season concludes next month?

With a few exceptions, this week’s rankings are similar to last week’s.

This week’s visitors are Sacred Heart Prep and Capuchino. Hillsdale and Antioch are out.

Twenty-four of the updated rankings’ 25 teams are still in action. Liberty is the only one who did not receive one of the eight spots in the North Coast Section’s Open/Division I playoffs.

The Lions are obviously upset about this.
