Chapman, a junior, scored 28 points in victories over Vanden and Oakland Tech

Kevin Chapman of Moreau Catholic is the Bay Area News Group’s boys athlete of the week for Nov. 20-25, after receiving 55.16% of the vote by the deadline Wednesday.

Carson Blair, a Miramonte football player, finished second.

Congratulations to all of the nominees for this week’s honor.

Moreau defeated Vanden-Fairfield 56-52 in the Bishop O’Dowd Thanksgiving Showcase on Friday, led by the junior’s 18 points and eight assists. He scored 10 points in a 75-54 rout of Oakland Tech on the second day of the showcase.
