Talia Patricia Shumway, 15, of Schnecksville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her residence. Born in Allentown, June 5, 2008, Talia was the daughter of Don B. Shumway, Jr. and Marcie M. (Hallman) Shumway. Talia was a 10th grade student at Parkland High School and also enrolled in a nursing program at LCTI. She was employed part-time at Salad Works, Allentown.

Talia’s vivacious nature and infectious smile inspired anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her care and compassion were vividly evident through her love of animals. She was a mom to her turtle, Allister, and her dogs: Benny, Jilly and Whitney Jane. Talia also enjoyed volunteer work that she did with her Grammy at the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and loyal friends.

Survivors: Parents, Don B. Shumway, Jr. and his wife, Amy of Schnecksville, Marcie M. (Hallman) Shumway and her companion, Matthew Hinkle of Allentown; siblings, Kyle J. Shumway and his companion, Kailee Galarza of Allentown, Gavin M. Dwane of Schnecksville, Brooke L. Dwane of Schnecksville; maternal grandparents, Joseph R. and Barbara L. (Zacharda) Hallman of Emmaus; paternal grandmother, Tammy M. Shumway of Whitehall; predeceased by a paternal grandfather, Don B. Shumway, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Dale E. and Linda S. (Hoenich) Leonard of Schuylkill Haven.

Service: Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:00 pm. – 8:00 pm. Sunday, April 7, 2024, at The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
