Cenizal, a senior, rushed for 251 and two touchdowns in 24 carries as Mitty outlasted Aptos

A.J Cenizal of Archbishop Mitty is the Bay Area News Group’s high school boys athlete of the week for the week of Aug. 28 to Sept. 2 after receiving 35.47% of the vote by the deadline of 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Noah Taylor (32.56%) of Sobrato finished second, and Keion Ashjaee-Marshall (32.56%) of Saratoga finished third.

Congratulations to all of the nominees for this week’s honor.

Mitty defeated Aptos 41-28 at Foothill College, with Cenizal rushing for 251 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.
