Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Ryan McKendry, Liberty football
Ryan McKendry contributed to Liberty’s thrilling victory over Antioch.
Ryan McKendry, a Liberty football player, has been named the Bay Area News Group’s boys athlete for the week of Oct. 9-14, after receiving 42.30% of the vote.
Miles Dixon of Bishop O’Dowd finished second (34.32%).
Congratulations to all of the nominees for this week’s honor.
McKendry caught eight passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns as Liberty defeated Antioch 41-40 in a Bay Valley Athletic League game played at home in Brentwood.
Liberty is 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in league play.
