East Bay construction workers robbed in broad daylight
Piedmont crew escaped injury after handing over their tools
PIEDMONT (AP) — Two people, one armed with a gun, robbed a construction crew in broad daylight early Tuesday, according to police.
The robbery, which occurred around 11:40 a.m. in the 200 block of Estates Drive, left no construction workers injured.
The suspects, according to police, drove a white Lexus IS 350 with tinted windows and backed into the driveway where the construction crew was working.
According to police, both suspects exited the vehicle, one with a handgun. They demanded tools from the workers, who gladly handed them over.
According to police, the suspects then got back into the Lexus and drove away.
