Growing Concern Vaccine Heart Damage in Adolescents May Be Permanent
Perspectives on Health
Almost every day, the news reports on another young person dying of cardiac arrest. The realization that COVID-19 vaccine-induced myocarditis could leave a scar zone in the heart raises the possibility of ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, and cardiac arrest at any time. Hulscher et al. recently demonstrated conclusively through autopsy that COVID-19 vaccine-induced myocarditis can be fatal.
According to Yu and colleagues’ Hong Kong study, 58 percent of young people who had heart damage confirmed by MRI [magnetic resonance imaging] and underwent a second scan one year later had residual abnormalities indicating a scar could be forming in the heart muscle.
Forty adolescents, mostly boys, with an average age of 15 were evaluated. The fact that 73 percent of the children had no cardiac symptoms meant that without an evaluation, the parents would have had no idea their child was suffering from heart damage caused by the COVID-19 vaccine. Approximately 18% of cases had a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction at the start, indicating they were at risk of developing heart failure.
Several other studies have found that the majority of COVID-19 vaccine myocarditis cases with abnormal cardiac MRI findings do not resolve after 3-6 months, according to the authors. According to Yu and colleagues’ report, the damage may be permanent after a year.
Please share this significant development with parents who have vaccinated their children or are considering doing so in order to comply with school mandates. The shot could result in irreversible damage as well as a lifetime of worry and regret.
