Monterey road rage incident leads to hit and run
MONTEREY – A road rage incident lead to a hit and run near the Casanova Oak Knoll neighborhood, and ended in an arrest.
According to the Monterey Police Department, a road rage incident on Nov. 6 resulted in a traffic collision and a physical fight between both drivers. Witnesses said that after the fight, one of the drivers, William Holland, 24, purposefully hit the other driver as he drove away.
According to police, Holland then crashed his own car into the other driver’s car, causing significant damage to both vehicles. Holland ran away from the scene on foot.
The other man was laying on the ground when police arrived. Paramedics from the Monterey Fire Department and American Medical Response responded and transported him to the Natividad Trauma Center.
Holland was later apprehended at his home and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and hit and run with great bodily harm. His bail was set at $40,000 dollars.
