Scotts Valley head-on crash claims lives of San Jose couple
SCOTTS VALLEY, Ariz. A San Jose couple was killed and a juvenile was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on Mount Hermon Drive Wednesday evening.
The deceased adults were identified as Laurie E. Bryant, 58, and Steven L. Bryant, 62, by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
The adults were traveling in a gold sedan when they collided with a white commercial van shortly before 5 p.m. on Skypark Drive near Lockhart Gulch Road. According to Scotts Valley police detective Sgt. Meredith Roberts, the van’s occupant was not injured.
“Previous reports indicated that the gold sedan was driving erratically prior to the accident,” Roberts said.
On Thursday, Scotts Valley police had not completed their investigation into the cause of the crash.
