The Boeing 737 Max doesn’t have the best reputation. After 346 people died in 2018 and 2019, it again made headlines in January after an Alaska Airlines jet lost a door plug in midair.

Yet while it is outsold by the Airbus A320neo, the 737 Max still remains popular with customers. That doesn’t just mean commercial operators, though, as it can also be turned into a private jet.

Boeing Business Jets offers the 737 Max for an average price of $110 million, according to Simple Flying.

The first one was delivered in 2018, and this jet was on display at EBACE, Europe’s largest business aviation conference, in May.

Having your own airliner comes with a lot more space than a purpose-built business jet. The $75 million Dassault Falcon 10X might have a bedroom and a shower, but this 737 Max has two of each plus a huge cabin.

Boeing has a business jets division that caters to wealthy clients who want an airliner to call their own.

At EBACE, a business aviation conference in Geneva, Boeing displayed the first 737 Max 8 to be turned into a private jet.

The flight deck is just about the only thing that looks the same as an airline’s 737 Max.

The BBJ Max 8 can also fly further than a normal Max 8. Its range is 7,500 miles, as opposed to 4,082 miles. This is due to Boeing being able to install additional fuel tanks in the private version of the plane.

Turning right from the entrance, a narrow corridor leads toward the cabin.

It goes past the first of three bathrooms.

This was the only bathroom without a shower.

As well as a fully equipped galley.

The galley has a coffee machine and other appliances.

Stepping into the cabin, the luxury is immediately evident thanks to a bar made from Italian marble.

The interior was designed by Peter Marino.

Flying commercial, you’ll only find a bar in business class on superjumbo jets or Virgin Atlantic’s A350.

The cabin is enormous, with more than 15 seats.

There were two couches in the main living area.

It includes an entertainment area, with an L-shaped couch in front of a TV.

The artwork showed the owner’s appreciation for the jet.

Control panels and drinks holders are dotted around the cabin.

The screen is flush with the wood panel. 

Beyond that is another narrow corridor …

The brown marble design was especially eyecatching.

Past that, you’ll also find the first of two bedrooms.
