Some Sudden Deaths Caused by COVID-19 Vaccines, Autopsies Confirm
Autopsies have revealed that COVID-19 vaccines caused some unexpected deaths.
After reviewing the autopsies, South Korean authorities determined that eight people who died suddenly after receiving a messenger RNA (mRNA) COVID-19 vaccine died from a type of vaccine-induced heart inflammation known as myocarditis.
“Vaccine-related myocarditis was the only possible cause of death,” said Dr. Kye Hun Kim of Chonnam National University Hospital and colleagues in South Korea.
All of the SCDs occurred in people aged 45 or younger, including a 33-year-old man who died one day after receiving a second dose of Moderna’s vaccine and a 30-year-old woman who died three days after receiving her first dose of Pfizer’s shot.
According to the researchers, myocarditis was not suspected as a clinical diagnosis or cause of death prior to the autopsies.
Thirteen more deaths were reported among those who developed myocarditis after receiving COVID-19 vaccination, but no autopsy results were provided. Some of those who died had received the COVID-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca.
The findings highlight the need for “careful monitoring or warning of SCD as a potentially fatal complication of COVID-19 vaccination, particularly in individuals under 45 years with mRNA vaccination,” according to the researchers, who published their findings in the European Heart Journal on June 2.
The South Korean government funded the research.
Dr. Andrew Bostom, a retired professor of medicine in the United States who was not involved in the study, said the findings demonstrate why mandating and promoting vaccines for children was incorrect.
“These are people who ostensibly did not need the vaccine,” Bostom said after reading the paper. “That’s what adds insult to injury.”
Pfizer, Moderna, and the US Food and Drug Administration all declined to comment.
Rare, but severe in one in every five cases
According to the study, the overall occurrence of myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination was rare, though one of its limitations is that the true number could be higher.
Between February 26, 2021, and December 31, 2021, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency received 1,533 reports of suspected myocarditis from 44.2 million people who received at least one dose of the Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, or AstraZeneca vaccines. An expert adjudication committee confirmed 480 cases of vaccine-induced myocarditis among those.
Males and people under the age of 40 were disproportionately affected. Except for 18, all were caused by an mRNA vaccine.
One case per 100,000 vaccinated people was the overall rate. With 3.7 cases per 100,000 and 5.2 cases per 100,000 males, 12- to 17-year-olds had the highest rates.
The figures were not broken down by vaccine type or age, implying that the rates were diluted because non-mRNA vaccine recipients were included. Excluding non-mRNA shots has resulted in higher estimates elsewhere, such as 75.9 cases per million second Pfizer doses in 16- and 17-year-old American males.
Both of these figures, as well as the Korean figures, are prone to underreporting. In Korea, authorities automatically excluded any cases of myocarditis that occurred 43 days or more after vaccination, as well as any cases that included a positive COVID-19 test, despite the fact that some experts believe vaccine-caused myocarditis is more likely than COVID-19-induced heart inflammation.
“We have kids and young adults coming in with chest pain, and the majority of them end up in the hospital for 24, 48, or 72 hours before going home.” But are we missing people who die before they reach the hospital?” After reviewing the study, Dr. Anish Koka, an American cardiologist, told The Epoch Times.
“Now, just because we live in the real world and don’t see avalanches of children dying, we know it’s a rare signal, but how rare is it?” “Is it happening?” he inquired. “The new study clearly demonstrates that it is occurring.” Without a doubt, there have been post-vaccine deaths in the United States that have not been properly attributed.”
According to previous research and medical examiners, myocarditis is a known side effect of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and can result in death. Chest pain, difficulty sleeping, and fever were among the symptoms. While many people who develop myocarditis after vaccination are discharged from the hospital within a day or two, they may face long-term complications.
According to the new study, one in every five cases of vaccine-induced myocarditis is severe. Those cases included intensive care unit admission, fulminant myocarditis, the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, heart transplantation, and death.
“A fifth of the cases were determined to be serious,” Bostom went on to say. “It’s disturbing.”
Reporting Software
Before the COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out, the South Korean government established a reporting system for all adverse events following vaccination, which is linked to a national compensation system that pays for medical expenses related to the adverse events.
The system even compensates people who cannot prove causality to a vaccine but provide evidence such as a temporal association or an event occurring shortly after vaccination. Authorities also give money to people who only have minor side effects.
As of August 2022, the program had compensated over 20,000 people.
In contrast, as of May 1, the US system had compensated only four people and rejected a number of others whose doctors diagnosed them with vaccine injuries.
Both countries require health-care workers to report certain events following vaccination, such as myocarditis, though not all cases, at least in the United States, have been reported.
Officials in the United States have reviewed autopsies performed on people who died after receiving COVID-19 vaccines but have refused to release the results. Officials stated in February that they would provide some information from the autopsy reports, but have yet to do so.
Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated which vaccines the deceased received and how many myocarditis cases were caused by non-mRNA vaccines. Some of those who died had received AstraZeneca’s vaccine. Eighteen cases of myocarditis were found in non-mRNA vaccine recipients. The Epoch Times apologizes for the errors.
