When is the best time to get married in Vegas? The answers may surprise you

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Thousands of people get married in the “wedding capital of the world” each year.

But, whether the ceremony is performed by Elvis or in the picturesque landscapes of Red Rock Canyon, when is the most popular time of year to marry in Las Vegas? You might be surprised by the answers.

According to Clark County wedding records, between 158 and 240 couples marry in Southern Nevada every day. More than 41,000 couples have married so far in 2023.

According to Clark County data, the following were the most popular months for weddings from 2019 to 2022.

  1. October

With temperatures beginning to cool after a typically scorching summer, fall is an excellent time to marry in the valley, particularly outdoors. Since 2019, over 28,000 couples have married in October.

  1. November

Since 2019, more than 26,000 couples have said “I do” in Clark County during November. November, like October, is an excellent month for wedding parties to coordinate their dresses and suits with fall colors.

  1. September

While the summer heat is still present, couples can find respite up in Mount Charleston or at one of the many resorts and casinos that offer wedding packages.

From 2019 to 2022, over 25,000 couples married in the valley in September.

  1. August

Over the last five years or so, more than 23,000 couples have married in Las Vegas in August.

  1. July

With the temperatures so high in July, it’s no surprise that this is a popular month for weddings. In fact, there are over 23,000 of them.

But that’s where Nevada’s many indoor wedding venues, from the Little Vegas Chapel to Taco Bell’s wedding chapel on the Strip, come in handy.

Special mention

The months of April and May consistently have a high number of weddings. Their numbers, however, were greatly reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2021, only 226 couples married in the valley, compared to over 6,700 couples married in April 2022.
