Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Boxer Kopcsak-Yeung, Los Gatos football

Kopcsak-Yeung, a senior, carried 17 times for 161 yards and four touchdowns to help lead the host Wildcats to a 37-7 victory over Sacred Heart Prep

Boxer Kopcsak-Yeung of Los Gatos is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Oct. 2-7, after receiving 35.95% of the vote.

Marco Jones (35.04%) of San Ramon Valley finished second.

Kopcsak-Yeung, a senior, carried 17 times for 161 yards and four touchdowns as the host Wildcats defeated Sacred Heart Prep 37-7 in Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division action. Kopcsak-Yeung also had two receptions for 13 yards.
