Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Ava Allen, Menlo School flag football

Allen scored three touchdowns and passed for three more in two games

Ava Allen of Menlo School was named the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 25-30 after receiving 40.41% of the vote.

Julianna Bondoc (37.02%), a James Logan volleyball player, finished second.

Congratulations to all of the nominees for this week’s honor.

Allen, a freshman, accomplished everything in Menlo School’s victories over Notre Dame-San Jose and The King’s Academy. She scored two touchdowns on the ground, three on the ground, and one on the ground.
