Los Gatos bakery employees harassed by transients

Suspects are males on bikes

Sept. 17

GRAND THEFT: 5:49 a.m. on Albright Way at Netflix. Two men cut chains and gained access to the property, where construction is underway. They stole a jackhammer, a toolbox, and other heavy construction equipment.

VIOLENCE: 6:12 a.m. on Belridge Drive. A resident received a phone call from a neighbor who stated that someone was attempting to break into his truck. The person was approached by a neighbor, and they left the area after damaging the lock on the truck’s tailgate.

Sept. 19

THEFT OF A PETTY: 9:07 a.m. at Los Gatos High School. From the bicycle rack area, a blue Specialized Rock Hopper was stolen.

2:57 p.m. on W. La Chiquita Avenue, SUSPICIOUS PERSON. A woman claimed her third cousin’s son was in her backyard and was attempting to place her in a nursing home.

Sept. 23

VANDALISM: 1:21 a.m. on North Santa Cruz Avenue at Carry Nations. A customer smashed the front window with a glass.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: 12:27 p.m. on West Main Street at Icing On The Cake. A few transients have been loitering, drinking alcohol, and harassing staff members who go into the bakery late at night. Suspects are typically males on motorcycles.

THEFT OF A PETTY: 12:44 p.m. on North Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller observed two women leaving the store after filling their bags with cosmetics.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: 4:25 p.m. at Los Gatos Boulevard’s Baja Fresh. A homeless man walked into the store and took food from the garbage can. He also took a drink cup with him and intended to fill it with soda.

THEFT OF A PETTY: 5:03 p.m. on University Avenue. Someone stole the caller’s luggage from outside his vehicle. Immigration paperwork and clothing were among the items lost.

BURGLARY OF A CAR: 11:52 p.m. on Wood Road and South Santa Cruz Avenue. Someone had broken into a car and was sitting inside, refusing to leave.

Sept. 24

VIOLATION OF THE MUNI CODE: 6:53 a.m. on University Avenue. There is a persistent problem with a rooster crowing in the morning.

VANDALISM on Broadway at 11:59 a.m. A transient ripped out a lot of irrigation before going into the backyard, prying open a shed, and throwing things.

5:42 p.m. MUNI CODE VIOLATION at Clifton Avenue and Broadway. Someone was operating a woodchipper after hours.

LOUD MUSIC: Pine Wood Lane at 8:39 p.m. According to one resident, the bass from loud music was shaking his house.
