Unicyclist causes traffic hazard in Los Gatos

Oct. 2

THEFT: 7:26 a.m. on North 40, South Turner Street, and Lark Avenue. Electrical items were stolen.

BURGLARY OF AUTOMOBILES Vasona Park on Garden Hill Drive at 4:18 p.m. A purse, driver’s license, registration, cash, a passport, and other items were stolen from a locked vehicle.

THEFT OF PETS Los Gatos Boulevard at 5:09 p.m. A woman’s wallet was stolen while she was shopping at Trader Joe’s. At Apple, a $1,900 charge was made.

5:25 p.m. on Calle Marguerita, PETTY THEFT. Someone stole the rear license plate from a gray Ford F150.

Oct. 3

THEFT OF A PETTY: 6:13 a.m. on Via De Tesoros. Someone broke into a car and stole several tools and other items.

VEHICLE THEFT: 7:30 a.m. on Via De Tesoros. The keys to a 2016 silver Mazda CX-5 were left in the vehicle. It was tracked all the way to Oakland.

BURGLARY IN A CAR: 7:38 a.m. on San Benito Avenue. A white Ford truck with all four doors open and a broken window was parked. Outside the vehicle, property was discovered.

BURGLARY OF AN AUTO: 7:38 a.m. on Old Adobe Road. The door to the silver Chevrolet Silverado was open, and there was property outside.

TAMPERING WITH A VEHICLE: 8:02 a.m. on Arroyo Grande Way. Gasoline was stolen from a white Toyota Highlander.

VEHICLE THEFT: 8:47 a.m. on Via Teresa. A white 2020 Ford F-150 was stolen.

7:15 p.m.: AUTO BURGLARY on Village Lane. The window of a rented car was smashed, and a suitcase in the trunk was stolen.

7:35 p.m. TRAFFIC HAZARD at Los Gatos Boulevard and Lark Avenue. A swarm of bicyclists surrounded a woman’s vehicle and refused to let her pass. The woman estimated there were about 100 of them.

Oct. 5

9:27 a.m., PETTY THEFT at Safeway on Union Avenue. A woman yelled at employees and stole cake from the bakery without paying. She was previously barred from entering the store.

PET THEFT: At 6:33 p.m. on North Santa Cruz Avenue, at Safeway. Someone stole two Tide Pods bags.

Oct. 6

PET THEFT: 11:30 a.m. on Alberto Way in Los Gatos. Someone broke into an unlocked car and stole the registration as well as a handicap placard.

Oct. 7

TRESPASS: 1:59 a.m. on Pollard Road at El Camino Hospital. A woman refused medical attention and refused to leave the hospital. She stated that all she wanted to do was sleep there.

MUNI CODE VIOLATION on Monterey Avenue at 8:21 a.m. Gardeners were blowing leaves with a gas leaf blower.

9:54 a.m. TRAFFIC HAZARD at Saratoga-Los Gatos Road and Austin Way. A man on a unicycle was riding at 25 mph in the regular driving lane without a helmet.

NOISE DISTURBANCE: 11:45 a.m. at the Los Gatos Boulevard Trader Joe’s. A man was playing the accordion with the help of an amplifier.

Oct. 8

11:19 a.m.: GRAND THEFT at Lululemon on North Santa Cruz Avenue. Items were stolen, resulting in a total loss of $10,638.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC: 6:41 p.m. at Union Avenue Safeway. A man on a bench was calling for help while holding a bottle of vodka. He was extremely inebriated.
